Ancient Greek for Kids - Level C
At the third level, Ancient Greek instruction is seamlessly intertwined with historical events familiar to the children or covered in their school curriculum. Alongside language acquisition and the reading of simple texts in Ancient Greek, there is a heightened emphasis on oral proficiency, allowing children to acquaint themselves with the spoken aspect of Ancient Greek from an early stage. This immersive approach deepens their linguistic understanding and significantly enhances their proficiency.
Building upon the foundational teachings in preschool and primary education, the program continues to offer an enjoyable and accessible method for children to
learn Ancient Greek. As they progress, not only do they refine their language skills, but they also explore the captivating realms of Greek History, Mythology, and Culture.
Commencing with uncomplicated everyday dialogues, stories, and myths, our method guides children in a simple, beautiful, and methodical manner, enabling them to read original ancient texts in a remarkably short span. This extracurricular endeavor remains a valuable investment of just an hour and a half per week, providing an enriching experience that transcends linguistic skills, offering a profound understanding of the cultural heritage that has shaped the Western Culture.
Please note that a prerequisite for participation is a basic understanding of Modern Greek, as our instructors conduct the program in Greek to ensure effective communication and comprehension.
